Miss Kay

Miss Kay opened the studio in 1993 combining her two passions in life: working with people and dance. In 1994, she introduced Dancers in Motion, a not-for-profit traveling dance company that has performed at local and national venues ranging from Mukwonago nursing homes to New York City. She has over 30 years of dance teaching experience. Her vast expertise in ballet, lyrical, tap and jazz paired with her ability to work with all ages render her qualified. She is excited for yet another year of dancing!

Dance Instructor

Miss Kate danced at Kay’s for ten years studying jazz, tap, pointe and ballet. In college, she was a member of the UW – La Crosse Pom and Dance team in addition to studying jazz and modern dance. Miss Kate is now a coach for the Park View Middle School Pom and Dance team in Mukwonago and teaches ballet, tap, poms, jazz, lyrical and skills at Kay’s. Miss Kate is thrilled to be teaching at Kay’s and feels so blessed to be given the opportunity to be working with your wonderful children.

Miss Stephanie

Dance Instructor

Miss Stephanie is happy to say this is her 10th year teaching at Kay’s Academy of Dance. She has been studying dance for 25 years with a background in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pointe and contemporary. She has a BFA Theatre Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a minor in dance. She has taken classes at numerous universities and studied contemporary in Seattle. Kay’s is where Stephanie’s heart and soul is, she is glad to call it her home.

Miss Courtney

Dance Instructor

Miss Courtney started dancing when she was three years old as a student at Kay’s Academy of Dance, she studied dance at Kay’s for fifteen years. She also was a dedicated member and captain for two years on Dancer’s In Motion. Meanwhile being an assistant teacher for Kay’s during all four years of her high school experience. Besides Kay’s Miss Courtney has led the Waukesha Civic Theatre ACT Dance Fever camp, and teaches dance at the Whitewater Park and Recreation dance program. Miss Courtney is currently a Junior at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. There she is majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in Dance. With her current college education Miss Courtney has performed in DanceScapes, Emerging Choreographers Concert, is the Secretary of UW-Whitewater’s Dance Company, and has traveled the U.S. for the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Conference where she performed and was able to take classes from several acclaimed dance professionals. She is very excited to be a part of the Kay’s Academy of Dance family, and is honored to be working with your children.
