Starting May 1st, recital tickets are available for purchase at the studio. We can’t wait to see you all there!
Picture Days
A photographer will be at the studio on Friday, May 31st from 4:30-6:30 PM for individual pictures. Call or email the studio to schedule an appointment.

During your assigned rehearsal time, all classes will have a group photo taken and the photographer will also be available to take individual photos. This will be on a first come, first serve basis.

Costumes
Costumes will be coming home the week of May 6th - 11th.
Don’t forget to bring a plastic bag if it’s raining!
Wear Recital Costume to Last Dance Class
Mark your calendars! During your last dance class (May 28th-June 3rd) dancers will wear their recital costumes. This gives the dancers an opportunity to practice & watch themselves with their costume on. It will also give the teachers an opportunity to fix any costume issues before the recital!
Recital Dress Rehearsal
Dress rehearsal will be at the PAC on June 5th. Everyone received an email with their rehearsal time, this information is also on the website in the recital hub. Plan on being at rehearsal approximately 30-40 minutes per dance you are in.
Arrive at the high school in your costume, with your recital t-shirt over your costume.
Enter through the main school, door 5 or 8.
Have your hair secured away from your face.
Bring your dance shoes.
One parent per dancer will be allowed to sit in the auditorium.
You will have your group picture taken and you also have the option of taking individual pictures.
Women’s Center Donation Collection
One of our values at Kay's Academy of Dance is giving back to the community and to those in need. For the month of May, we are collecting items for the Women's Center in Waukesha and we need your help!
We will be collecting: new towels, washcloths and hand towels, tampons, dish soap, dryer sheets, snack food and crackers.
You can put your donations in the box at the studio. Your donation is greatly appreciated!

Summer Dance Class Registration
Don't miss your chance to dance with us this summer! Our exciting summer dance classes are just around the corner, starting June 17th! Each class meets twice a week for a 6-week session. The summer showcase will be held on Friday, August 2nd at Brooklife Church.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, there's something for everyone in our diverse range of classes. Don't forget to check out our new trial classes & conditioning workshops in August!

Father’s Day Parade
All of our dancers are invited to participate in the Mukwonago’s 2024 Father’s Day Parade on Sunday, June 16th.
Wear your costume or your recital t-shirt.
If you are over age 10 please wear tennis shoes.
Wear sunscreen and bringa bottle of water.
We will meet at the dance studio on Sunday June 16th between 11 and 11:30am.
Pick up your dancer when we have finished the parade at Parkview Jr High.
Summer Solstice Yoga Event
Embrace the Summer Solstice with Serenity!
Join us on Thursday, June 20th, from 7:30-9:00 PM for a Summer Solstice Yoga experience!
Start the evening outside with a stroll down to the lake for sunset meditation accompanied by live music.
Remember to bring a mug for savoring local tea and honey!
Conclude the event with a candlelit yoga session upstairs at Kay’s Academy of Dance, starting at 8pm. Bring a yoga mat.

Dance with Barbie Workshop
Come on Barbie! Let's go party at Kay's Academy of Dance! Save the date to join us on Friday, June 21st from 5:30-7:00 PM to dance with Barbie! This workshop is for ages 4-7 & 8-11.
Bring your favorite Barbie and learn some dance moves. You can get your nails done, have a snack and a craft will also be provided. Be sure to wear pink! Cost is $20 per student.
Taylor Swift Karaoke Night
Save the date for a fun-filled night of singing & dancing!
Join us at Kay’s Academy of Dance on Friday, August 16th from 5:00-8:00 PM for a Taylor Swift Karaoke Night!
This event is for all the Swifties ages 6-18. Sing, dance and create your own music video and watch it with your friends! Pizza and craft activity will also be provided.
Fee: $30
Summer Drop-In Classes
Creative Movement Class
Our Creative Movement class will be transitioning to the Summer Class Schedule the week of June 17th.
Your little one (Ages 2-4) will love moving and grooving this summer with friends! You must register for this class, but only pay for classes you attend.
Summer Schedule June 17th - August 1st:
Mondays & Wednesdays - 10:15-10:45 AM
Tuesdays & Thursdays - 4:15-4:45 PM
You must register for this drop-in class, but only pay for classes that you attend.
Barre Class
Join us for our Summer Fitness Barre Classes!
Summer Barre will transition the week of June 10th. Classes will be Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:45-6:45 PM. Classes are $11 and drop-ins are welcome!
*Please note, there will be no Barre Class the week of June 3rd.

Studio Closed Memorial Day Weekend
The studio will be closed Memorial Day weekend, as we remember and honor all those who gave their lives for our freedom.
No dance classes or yoga will be held on May 25th - May 27th.
