Dancers In Motion
Kay’s Academy of Dance is home to Dancers in Motion, which is a traveling dance company. Each year they perform at events such as Summerfest, State Fair, Great America as well as many other local events. In the past, they have performed in the Gator Bowl, Orange Bowl, and two Sugar Bowl Halftime Shows, in New York City, on a cruise, and even traveled to Disney World to dance in the Parade of Dreams. Every trip is filled with unforgettable memories.
Dancers in Motion is made up of all students at Kay’s Academy of Dance, where they are trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop. All the members of Dancers in Motion have attained a high level of danceability. Membership is by invitation and a high level of commitment is expected of each team member.
Kids In Motion
Kids in Motion is a similar group to Dancers in Motion. This group is for students ages 10-13 and helps students prepare for Dancers in Motion and gives them more opportunities to perform. Students are required to be enrolled in lyrical, jazz, or hip hop and tap classes. Students need to show the same respect in class that we require from Dancers in Motion girls and they need to have good attendance.
Kids in Motion invitations go out in the fall and the commitment goes through the end of the school year. If you are interested in this group please express your interest to Miss Kay and/or Miss Stephanie.
